who _is_ this for?

What are we really chasing when we create? The applause, the recognition—or something deeper, something more elusive? We wrestle with shadows—emotional blindspots, the gnawing sense that something is always missing. We stare at our work, wondering: Who is this for?

The answer feels slippery. Is it for the world or for ourselves? Perhaps both. But in the chaos of creation, self-doubt creeps in, whispering that nothing will ever be enough. And so, we hesitate. We refine endlessly, hoping that perfection will silence the questions. It never does.

So, how do we kill what holds us back? By making, despite the fear. By embracing the gaps and cracks in our work, knowing they are part of the truth we are telling. Authenticity is not in perfection but in persistence—showing up, even when our voice shakes.

This is for the ones who wonder if their art matters. It does—because you made it, because you dared to share it. And if you’ve felt this, I want to hear from you. What do you wrestle with when you create? Let’s talk—because in sharing, we discover we’re not alone.
